When AI Mode is visible, describe the job you need a product to do, the person or workflow it is for, and one important constraint. Billixi can use that request to rank relevant public products; if AI search is unavailable or the request is not eligible, the interface falls back to standard results and says so.

AI search is most useful when your need is clear but you do not know the exact product name or tags. When AI Mode is available, write a short description of the outcome, audience, and one constraint. Billixi uses that request to retrieve and rank public catalog items; it does not create products or guarantee that the first result is right for you.

Start with the job, audience, and constraint

A strong request usually contains three parts:

  1. Job: what you need to accomplish.
  2. Audience or context: who will use it or where it fits.
  3. Constraint: the most important boundary, such as simplicity, format, or workflow.

For example:

A simple planner for freelance client projects

This is more useful than planner because it explains the intended user and job. It is also better than a paragraph containing every preference, because each added detail can narrow the result set unnecessarily.

Refine one dimension at a time

If the first result set is too broad, change one meaningful dimension and search again.

First requestWhat is unclearUseful refinement
A plannerAudience and workflowA planner for freelance client projects
Templates for clientsIntended taskTemplates for onboarding design clients
A project tool for freelancersDesired simplicityA simple project planner for freelancers managing three clients

Do not insert brands, formats, or capabilities you do not actually require. A longer query is not automatically a better query.

AI Mode and standard search serve different needs

Standard search matches the catalog using product names, creators, and seller tags. It is appropriate when you know the words likely to appear on the listing.

AI Mode accepts a more descriptive request and can return a ranked result set when the current search is eligible. The product cards are still public catalog results. AI Mode does not write a new listing, change the real catalog, or bypass product availability rules.

What happens when AI search is unavailable

AI Mode may not be visible in every environment or may not apply to a particular search. If the AI route is unavailable, Billixi can return standard results and display a status explaining the fallback. You can then:

  1. Continue with the standard result set.
  2. Shorten the request to its strongest catalog terms.
  3. Use category and product-type filters.
  4. Open a product and evaluate its full listing.

Do not interpret a fallback as an AI-ranked result. Billixi keeps the requested mode and actual outcome distinct in the interface.

Evaluate a result before buying

A result marked as relevant is still only a candidate. Open it and check:

  • What the buyer receives
  • Product type and delivery method
  • Supported format or access requirements
  • Seller description and public summary, where available
  • License terms, or the recorded terms of an existing Membership purchase
  • Price, checkout details, and published policies

If the product page offers a fit check, use the product questions and answers guide to ask one decision-focused question. If it offers a public summary, follow the AI product summary guide rather than relying on the search card alone.

Frequently asked questions

Does AI search include private or draft products?

The buyer-facing search works over the eligible public catalog. A private draft or product that cannot be purchased should not become available simply because AI Mode is selected.

Is the first result the “best” product?

No. It is a relevance-ranked result for the request and current catalog, not a universal quality ranking or purchase recommendation.

Should I include personal information in a query?

No. Describe the work and constraints without names, account details, private client data, credentials, or other sensitive information.

Can I always turn on AI Mode?

No. Visibility and eligibility depend on the current feature configuration and search context. Standard search remains available when AI Mode is not.
