OpsGlass is a lightweight native incident cockpit for DevOps engineers, SREs, and developers who need fast answers during an outage without deploying another agent. Connect to a Linux server through the OpenSSH configuration already on your workstation. OpsGlass collects a read-only live snapshot of CPU, memory, swap, load, filesystems, inodes, storage type, top CPU/memory/I/O consumers, service status and versions, Docker or Podman containers, listening ports, routes, DNS, recent logs, firewall state, failed SSH activity, pending updates, OOM events, and time synchronization. Incident Lens turns raw data into prioritized signals. Session Drift compares services, containers, and ports with the first in-memory snapshot. Runbook Pad can stream a POSIX shell script only after a 30-second two-step safety latch. Up to 300 timeline samples live only in RAM and disappear when the app closes. Security model: BatchMode OpenSSH, password authentication disabled, strict target validation, no SSH password vault, no metrics database, and OS-protected Billixi license credentials. The collector is read-only; only explicitly armed Runbook scripts can make changes. Desktop support: macOS 12+ universal, Windows 10/11 x64, and common Linux x64 desktops. Target support: Linux with OpenSSH, POSIX sh, and procfs. Optional systemd, OpenRC, Docker, Podman, ss, and pidstat capabilities degrade gracefully when unavailable.
